Ze richtte ‘The Other West Coast Productions’ op als een thuishaven voor verhalend werk dat beweegt. Na tien jaar in het Amerikaanse medialandschap te hebben gewerkt – van Washington tot Los Angeles – runt ze nu haar studio vanuit Den Haag, waar ze campagnes ontwikkelt en flexibele teams samenstelt voor klanten met boeiende verhalen. Eerder werkte ze in-house voor POLITICO en 89.3 LAist, NPR’s vlaggenschipzender aan de westkust.
Lisa Koolhoven is een Nederlandse historicus met 25 jaar ervaring in het samenbrengen van mensen rond maatschappelijk relevante onderwerpen – zoals de toekomst van de zorg, inclusiviteit en erfgoed – en werkt voor overheidsinstellingen in Nederland, ngo’s en sociaal ondernemers wereldwijd. Haar doel is om compassie en collectieve wijsheid te vergroten, met persoonlijke verhalen als wapen. Ze presenteert deze in geschreven interviews gepubliceerd in Nederlandse kranten, tijdschriften en boeken, en evenementen zoals dialogen om verschillen te overbruggen, en fietstours rond het vergeten bombardement op Rotterdam.
Marco Raaphorst is een gevestigde Nederlandse producer, muzikant en sounddesigner met meer dan 30 jaar ervaring. Hij werkt momenteel voor ‘NRC Vandaag’, een dagelijkse nieuwspodcast die tot de vijf meest gestreamde podcasts in Nederland behoort. Marco is gevestigd in Den Haag, waar Lisa en Kristen wonen, en zal de volledige productie van de Nederlandse aflevering leiden, waarbij hij ervoor zorgt dat de lokale stem en perspectief centraal staan. Marco zal ook originele muziek creëren voor zowel de Nederlandse als de Amerikaanse aflevering.
Zachary Goldberg is podcastproducer, sounddesigner en regisseur. Zijn werk omvat de voor een ‘Ambie Award’ genomineerde documentaires ‘Women of Marvel’ en ‘The Nightingale of Iran’, evenals de hitserie ‘Childish: The Podcast Musical’, die te zien was in The New York Times en op BBC Radio. Tussen de montagesessies door geeft Zachary les in ‘Sound Design voor Podcasts’ aan afgestudeerde studenten aan de ‘Yale School of Drama’. Hij verzorgt de postproductie van de podcast en zal zo bijdragen aan de uiteindelijke luisterervaring.
Kitty Eisele is een ervaren NPR-producer en Senior Editor van ‘Morning Edition’. Gedurende haar 40-jarige carrière in de radiojournalistiek heeft ze duizenden verhalen geproduceerd voor Amerikaanse luisteraars. Ze won een Emmy Award voor Ken Burns’ Civil War-serie. Ze produceerde ook een geschiedenis van het Amerikaanse Congres voor PBS. Onlangs creëerde Kitty haar eigen serie, ‘Twenty-Four Seven’, over de zorg voor ouder wordende ouders. Momenteel doceert ze journalistiek en schrijven aan de ‘Georgetown University’ en doet ze de redactie van het Amerikaanse script van de podcast.

Lisa Koolhoven is a Dutch historian with 25 years of experience in bringing people together on societal impactful topics – such as the future of care, inclusiveness and heritage – working for governmental institutions in The Netherlands, NGO’s and social entrepreneurs world wide. Her goal is to enlarge compassion and collective wisdom, with personal stories as her weapon, hosting these in written interviews published in Dutch newspapers, magazines and books, and events such as dialogues towards bridging differences and cycling tours for children around the forgotten bombing of Rotterdam.
Marco Raaphorst is an established Dutch producer, musician, and sound designer with more than 30 years of experience. He currently works with NRC Vandaag, a daily news podcast that ranks among the top five most-streamed podcasts in the Netherlands. Based in The Hague—where Lisa and Kristen live—Marco will lead the full production of our Dutch episode, ensuring it captures the local voice and perspective at the heart of our story. Marco will also create original music for both our Dutch and American episodes.
Zachary Goldberg is a podcast producer, sound designer, and director. His work includes the Ambie-Award-nominated documentaries Women of Marvel and The Nightingale of Iran, as well as the hit series Childish: The Podcast Musical, which has been featured in The New York Times and on BBC Radio. Between editing sessions, Zachary teaches Sound Design for Podcasts to graduate students at the Yale School of Drama. He will oversee post-production, adding to the final listening experience.

Most recently, Kitty created her own series, Twenty-Four Seven, about caring for aging parents. She currently teaches journalism and writing at Georgetown University and will be directing the script for American audiences.
